LESLIE ANNEAR

FOUNDER – GRANTS SPECIALIST

I love that my job as founder of Clarity Content is working with businesses to get incredible results and lots of money. I’ve seen the difference that grant success can make – creating jobs, expanding services, and scaling impact nation-wide. 

I started grant writing in 2007. From the start it played to my strengths of being a great project manager & copywriter who thinks strategically, and brings calmness and order to execution and delivery.

These days I’m one of Australia’s leading independent grants specialists. Since 2020 I’ve secured over $55 million in grant funds for clients including renewable tech companies, social enterprises, schools, arts and entertainment, aid and development and disability services. 

Armed with tertiary qualifications in community development, a Progress Australia fellowship and board experience for several Victorian charities, I bring strong project management skills to complex applications. 

My specialty is large applications over $500K and what sets me apart is I’ve worked on both sides of the fence. As a grant manager with the Federal Government, I oversaw a portfolio worth $18M+. So I have the inside running on what assessment panels really look for, and can guide the connection point between government objectives and private sector operations.

Away from work I love hanging out with my drummer husband and our two sons. As recent arrivals to Victoria’s surf coast, we spend weekends by the beach with surfboards and pipe dreams.
